Announcing SODA’s New Partnership with The Alliance

We’re thrilled to announce that we have a new alliance, a.k.a partnership, with The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance (“The Alliance”), an incredible nonprofit that helps keep the organ donation and transplantation community connected and in-the-know while also providing professional development opportunities. 

Together, SODA and The Alliance will support the next generation of donation ambassadors. SODA staff and chapter members will have access to The Alliance’s donation-focused learning programs with a Gold Circle Professional Partnership.

“Having access to the latest information in organ donation will help our team as we transform students into life-long donation advocates,” said Nicole Nidea, SODA’s Program Director. “Our new partnership with The Alliance is critical as we continue to build our leadership development opportunities, how-to guides, and other student resources and understand the ever-changing field of organ donation and transplantation.”

The Alliance’s mission, as their website states, is to unite “the organ donation, transplantation and healthcare communities to promote collaboration, cascade innovations and share effective practices for the benefit of restoring lives through transplantation.” They provide members of the organ donation community with resources and information about innovative practices, educational programs, and more related to organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation.

In their announcement of this partnership, Karri Hobson-Pape, the Executive Director of The Alliance said, “A critical aspect of organ donation is engaging the younger generation to register as donors. SODA educates future leaders in donation and this partnership with The Alliance will ensure the staff have access to current innovations and effective practices shared through collaborative programming.”

Corey Bryant, Senior Director of Communication and Strategic Initiatives at The Alliance, added, “Supporting the SODA leaders is aligned with our mission to cascade innovation and share effective practices with future leaders.”
