SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates, in partnership with Second Chance Fundraising and Daniel Gives Back, is thrilled to offer three scholarship programs to incoming and current college, university, graduate, and professional degree students for the 2026-2027 school year.​
2026 Scholarship Offerings
Daniel Gives Back Scholarship
In partnership with Daniel Gives Back, we are awarding one $1,000 scholarship to an undergraduate or graduate student who is looking to grow as a leader by showcasing their dedication to donation by hosting an advocacy event.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2026-2027 school year.
HBCU Legacy Scholarship
We are awarding three $1,500 scholarships to students from the same HBCU campus who will launch and grow a SODA chapter, host donation advocacy events, and work closely with SODA’s National Team to build a sustainable student organization.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Historically Black College or University for the 2026-2027 school year.
Student Advocacy Scholarship
In partnership with Second Chance Fundraising, we are awarding five $1,000 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about donation and interested in leading peer-to-peer advocacy efforts.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2026-2027 school year.
Scholarship Requirements
In addition to the scholarship-specific requirements above, applicants for the Daniel Gives Back Scholarship and Student Advocacy Scholarship must:

Have not previously been awarded a scholarship from SODA National.​

Organize an organ, eye, and tissue donation advocacy event by the end of the Fall 2026 semester.

Attend a virtual networking session in August of 2026 to connect with their fellow scholarship recipients and a virtual awards ceremony in February of 2026 to share the impact of their advocacy event.​
