Below are some event ideas to help you celebrate National Donate Life Month. Don’t forget, SODA provides grants to cover event costs. Submit a request here.

In-Person Event Ideas:

• Birdwatching Walk: Lead a short campus or park walk, pointing out different birds while sharing how organ donation gives people a second chance to soar. End with a donor registration opportunity.​

• Karaoke for a Cause: Organize a karaoke event for your chapter and share facts about the lifesaving power of donation between performances.

• “Wings of Hope” Pledge Wall: Set up a table where students can write why they support donation on paper birds and add them to a display. Include a QR code for donor registration.​

Virtual Event Ideas:

• #LetLifeSing Birdwatching Challenge: Encourage students to snap and share a picture of a bird they see, along with a donation fact.

• “Soaring to Save Lives” Livestream: Host an Instagram or TikTok Live from an outdoor space and invite a guest speaker to share how donation has positively impacted their life.

• “Wings of Life” Instagram Polls: Use Instagram Stories to quiz students on donation myths vs. facts, with bird and music visuals.
